And the craziness BEGINS! I leave for Montreal tomorrow and in the meantime I need to do the following:
- figure out my visa application and get it done today before leaving.
- Finish 2 assignments before getting on the plane
- Figure out the things I need to do for NLDC
- Oh, yeah- pack! :D
- Run errands, pick up stuff, find things to wear so I can pack.

It's crazy I tell ya but I LOVE it! So, I'm off to Montreal in a day- Mazzy I'm almost there!

I'M GOING TO SINGAPORE!
I'm speechless, overly excited-- I think I just won the lottery! Nacho just called about 30 mins. ago to let me know that I have been selected for the HRD Executive position in DHL. I will be joining the Singapore DHL mafia that include the people we know so well on Nomadlife! :) :) :) Let's get this show on the road! :D

Rediscovering.

I met up with some amazing friends this Friday and had the chance to rediscover friendship and commonalities. These are friends that I've known for almost 10 years and although during university we've all drifted apart- different cities, different group of friends- last Friday was an example of how deep our friendships run. Such a feeling of comfort that in this nomadic life that I tend to lead that there are people that you can come back to and pick up where you left off-- guilt free.

Smells like SPRING!

Having lived for the first half of my life in a tropical country, spring is always an exciting season for me. Such a wonderful season that puts my sense of smell to work. The smell of:

- green, green grass
- cool wind (it does have a smell!)
- flowers-- the tulips are here!
- geese smell (as they migrate back near a park by my house- suprisingly a nice smell:P ).

SPRING is COMING! :D

My spring schedule:
- Going to go see Mazzy and Anuj in Montreal at the end of April
- Attending yet another Canadian conference ( they can't get enough of me! :P)
- Going to Vancouver to see great friends (and eat SUSHI!) at the end of May

I am hoping to add more exciting things to this schedule!

The Man Date.

So this is what men are insecured about ;) I can see (althought not fully understand) why going on a one-on-one dinner with another guy friend might feel awkward. But is this only a North American thing? or something most guys out there feel?

Bring on the comments!

When opportunity presents itself...

Call me naive, call me an idealist but there's a hope in me that the meeting of many world leaders at Pope John Paull II's funeral is a clear indication of what this great man stood for-- peace and unity of all. However, I don't think that many world leaders that attended "got it".

I know there are protocols but I wonder when will be another time for an open discussion...

This week's quote.

"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow you have to put up with the rain".

Beautiful Philippines

Gitti who is currently working with DHL in Singapore went to Cebu, Philippines to visit a friend. Please take the time to read her account here. It is one of the best accounts I've ever read of the Philippines. See, it's not all about the "guerillas" or the "kidnappings". The Philippines is a wonderful place filled with warm people, great beaches and beautiful islands.

I am saddened by the few people that have forever tainted my birthplace. These are fellow Filipinos, many involved in politics that just can't get their act together. It's sad to see a country with such beauty and wonderful people get such a bad rap internationally.

Thanks Gitti for affirming that there's more to the Philippines than heavy traffic!

Anyone want a tourguide? Let me know! :D
